October is where the fixture list stops being polite. An international window opens the month, and once it clears there are four Premier League matchweeks back to back with no break in them. If you are opening a Bet9ja account this month, the promotion code is YOHAIG.

Where the promotion code fits at registration

The promo field sits on the Bet9ja registration form and most people scroll straight past it. Enter YOHAIG in that box and your new account qualifies for a welcome bonus of up to ₦100,000, scaled to your opening deposit. There is no way to apply it later, which is why the field matters at sign-up.

Nothing is charged for the code. New customers only, and the bonus comes with wagering conditions, which is standard across the market. Look at the conditions first so the bonus behaves the way you expect.

The first week belongs to the national teams

The Nations League plays two more rounds from the 1st to the 6th, and the clubs sit out until after that. The Super Eagles finish their break against Russia in Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday 6 October. The kick-off time was still unannounced when this went up, so confirm it before you stake.

The club season returns on 10 October

Club football restarts on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal host Leeds United in the lunchtime slot, Manchester United meet Tottenham Hotspur that evening, and Liverpool against Manchester City follows at Anfield on the Sunday afternoon. The 17th and 18th give you Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United versus Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest against Arsenal.

The third matchweek opens on Friday 23 October with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest and runs through to Chelsea hosting Tottenham Hotspur on the Saturday evening. October finishes on Saturday 31st, Chelsea versus Manchester United at lunchtime and Aston Villa against Fulham in the evening.

Worth noting: Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty on all but one of their 115 charges. What the punishment looks like was still unknown at the time of writing. Should a points deduction follow, the outright markets reprice immediately, so read the news before backing anything long-term.

Why kick-off times move on 25 October

UK clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, and Nigeria stays put. Until Saturday the 24th, UK and Nigerian kick-off times read identically. After that Sunday you add sixty minutes, which makes a 15:00 English kick-off a 16:00 start here.

Practical notes for October

Put the code in during sign-up, because it cannot be added later. The code only applies to a new account. Fix your October budget before the first matchweek lands. Four matchweeks with no break is a long stretch to stay disciplined.
